7.1 Cleaning
The instrument is not autoclavable
The instrument is factory-calibrated and maintenance-free.
When the instrument is dirty, clean the outer surface with a moist cloth.
Use water or a mild detergent solution. Avoid acidic or aggressive clean-
ers.
Disassembly of the instrument is not permitted.
7.2 UV disinfection
The device is resistant to normal exposure to a UV disinfection lamp. The
device may change color due to the UV exposure.

Possible cause
Filling/locking lever is not
pushed down to bottom position
and is not swung out.
The stroke setting dial is not
properly engaged.
NOTICE
Corrective action
First press the ejector button and
remove the PD-Tip, then push the
filling/locking lever all the way
down and swing it out com-
pletely.
Ensure that the stroke setting dial
is securely locked into place.
