c) Selecting the speed controller mode (normal or crawler mode)
After the speed controller has been switched on, the red LED indicates the current mode.
Constant red LED:
Flashing red LED:
Crawler mode:
The brake is activated when the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter is moved to the neutral position. This makes it
easier to control crawler vehicles (e.g. on a slope).
Normal mode:
In this mode the speed controller has forward travel, brake and reverse travel functions. The brake function works
when the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter is pushed directly from forward travel to reverse one at one dash.
Moving the lever from forward travel to the neutral position brings the vehicle to a standstill (without braking).
Switching between crawler and normal mode:
• Switch on the transmitter.
• Then switch on the speed controller and wait until the
undervoltage detection function beeps and the vehicle
is ready for operation.
• Press and hold down the button on the speed controller.
• There are two options:
- If the motor emits a short beep ("•"), this indicates
that normal mode is enabled. Release the button
immediately. The red LED on the speed controller is
flashing (normal mode).
- If the motor emits two short beeps ("• •"), this indicates that crawler mode is enabled. Release the button
immediately. The red speed controller LED glows steadily (crawler mode).
• The vehicle is now ready to go in the selected mode.
