The vehicle slows down or comes to a standstill while being driven.
• The drive battery is nearly empty.
• The speed controller is overheated, overtemperature protection has been activated. Allow the speed controller to
cool down; after that the vehicle is ready for operation.
• The transmitter is too far away from the vehicle, the speed controller failed to recognise a valid control signal via
the receiver.
The vehicle does not travel in a straight line.
• Set the steering trim on the transmitter.
• Check the steering linkage, the servo arm and the screw connection.
• Did the vehicle have an accident? If so, check the vehicle for any defective or broken parts and replace them if
necessary.
The vehicle moves in the opposite direction to the rotary control on the transmitter.
• Enable the steering reverse function on the transmitter.
The vehicle responds in the opposite way to the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter.
• Usually, the vehicle should move forwards when the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter is pulled towards the
handle. See chapter 9. h). If this is not the case, enable the steering reverse function on the transmitter.
• If the motor has been disconnected from the speed controller (e.g. during vehicle repair), swap the two motor
cables.
The vehicle does not steer properly or the steering angle is too low.
• If the transmitter has a dual rate setting, check that it is working correctly (refer to the transmitter operating instruc-
tions for details). If the dual rate setting is too low, the steering servo will not respond.
• Check the steering mechanism for loose parts (e.g. check whether the servo arm is attached correctly to the servo).
The battery life is very short.
• Charge the drive battery or use another fully-charged drive battery.
• If you are using a NiMH drive battery, disable undervoltage detection (see section 10 b.).
The two-speed gearbox does not shift correctly.
• Check the fixing of the servo lever on the shift servo.
• Check whether the servo moves when you press the corresponding button on the transmitter.
• When using a different remote control for the vehicle, the servo travel must be limited accordingly (dual rate setting)
or you must identify the end points for the servo rotation accordingly (EPA setting).
