 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
o Before cleaning any part of slicer, switch it off, unplug power cord, and set thickness
control knob to position 0.
o Do not clean slicer with high-pressure cleaner, jets of water, in dishwashers and
sinks, but with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
o Do not use tools like brushes or scouring pads because they are likely to damage the
slicer surface.
o Use a regular disposable towel to wipe down the slicer and remove loose food
residue.
o To prevent illness caused by the spread of food-borne parthogens, it is important to
properly clean the entire slicer regularly.
o Dry all parts well before putting away for storage.

o
European Directive 2012/19/EC concerning Waste Electrical and Electronic Equip-
ment (WEEE) states that household appliances should not be disposed of using the
normal solid urban waste cycle. Exhausted appliances should be collected separate-
ly in order to optimise the cost of re-using and recycling materials comprising the
machine, while preventing potential damage to public health and the environment.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol appears on all products to remind owners of
the obligations regarding separate waste collection. Owners should contact their lo-
cal authorities or appliance dealers for further information concerning the correct
disposal of household appliances.
