 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: For safety, this appliance is fitted with the platform including thumb guard and
food presser that will protect your hands. The carriage platform allows you to make motions
along the blade to cut the slices. Use the food presser to move the carriage. The food press-
er allows you to hold the food in position while keeping your hands away from the blade.
Always use the food presser.
o Clean all parts of the appliance before its first use. The unit must be switched off and
unplugged from the electrical outlet.
o Make sure the appliance is steady and place the food presser (7) on the carriage plat-
form (8).
o After making sure that the unit is switched OFF, connect the power plug to a suitable
electrical outlet.
o Place the collection tray (11) below the blade to collect the slices.
o Pull the carriage platform backward, as far as it can slide. Place the food to be sliced
on the stainless-steel cover of the carriage platform. Afterwards, put the food presser
onto the carriage platform and adjust food presser until it holds the food firmly in
place.
o Using the food presser, push the food against the mobile side of the appliance and
select the slicing thickness (0-15mm) by turning the slice thickness knob (10).
o Set the ON/OFF switch (1) to I (ON position) to switch on the appliance. The blade (2)
will start running.
o Grasp the food presser (7) with your right hand while keeping your thumb protected
behind the thumb guard and pusher. Apply even pressure for best slicing results.
o Slide the carriage platform (8) towards the blade. Move back and forth steadily with
even pressure. Repeat for additional slices.
o After use, set the ON/OFF switch to 0 (OFF position) and the slice thickness knob to 0.
Allow the blade (2) to stop running completely. Unplug the appliance.
o To avoid food sticking to the appliance, you can moisten or oil the blade with a wet
towel beforehand. MAKE SURE THE UNIT IS TURNED OFF AND UNPLUGGED.
o Do not slice meat with bones, food with large seeds, rolled roast without removing:
strings, wrappers (i.e. aluminum foil), frozen food, and hard inedible food parts.
