ASV+ / ASV LongRange Bullet Drop Compensator for ZEISS Riflescopes
The ASV+ enables you to always remain on target, even at larger distances of up to 400 or 600
metres.
The ASV LongRange, which is built into ZEISS VICTORY V8 riflescopes, enables you to always remain
on target, even at the farthest distances of over 600 m, thanks to the larger adjustment range of 100
clicks and a ring that is calibred in line with the load.
The bullet drop is compensated for by adjusting the line of sight of the riflescope corresponding to
the distance. To prevent accidental adjustment, the ASV+ and of the ASV LongRange can
only be turned when the knob is pulled up (Fig. 2). The rotary knob (1) of the ASV+ and the
ASV LongRange is fitted at delivery with the ballistic ring no. 000 (linear increments from 1 to 65
ASV+ / 1 to 100 ASV LongRange). Every tenth line is marked with a number from 10–60 for the
ASV+ rings, and from 10–90 for the ASV LongRange rings.
One set of 9 ballistic rings (4) (no. 001 to 009 and 01LR to 09LR) is included with each ASV+ / ASV
LongRange, which can be exchanged for the ballistic ring 000. These ballistic rings (no. 001 to 009
and 01LR to 09LR) have different scales and cover all conventional calibres.
Note:
The rings for ASV+ and ASV LongRange have different scales.
In order to avoid confusion, the rings for ASV LongRange are labelled with "LR" in addition to the
number (e.g.: 05LR).
After aligning the weapon to a 100 m target, the corresponding ballistic ring (4) of the load used is
pushed on the rotary knob (5) (Fig. 3).
For this purpose, release the screw ring (2) and lift off the knurled ring (3). Afterwards, you can
exchange the ballistic ring (4).
To compensate for the bullet drop, simply lift the ASV+ / ASV LongRange rotary knob upward out of
the locking mechanism and set it to the desired range (Fig. 2).
Selection of the ballistic ring
An appropriate ASV+ / ASV LongRange ballistic ring is determined depending on the calibre used,
the bullet type and bullet weight. There are 9 ballistic rings (4) available, which cover all
conventional calibres. The prerequisites for the selection of the appropriate ring are the ballistic data
of the load used up to 400 m or 600 m. After aligning the riflescope to 100 m, the upper values of
known longer distances can be quickly and simply set via the ballistic ring (4). The ballistic rings are
