The housing (1) of the Piezon Master should be disinfected with commercially available
disinfectant. Do not use scouring powder as it scratches the surface of the housing.
Danger - Please note that the housing of the Piezon Master 400 is only protected
against splashed water and must not be sterilized.
If the irrigant liquid bottle (10) can no longer be closed tightly, replace the red washer
(13) on the screw-cap.
The bottle holder (14) has two small nipples which engage the openings in the
bayonet face plate (12). A small black O-ring on each of these nipples forms a seal
between the bayonet face plate and nipple. If the O-rings are damaged or worn,
irrigating liquid may leak out. Should this occur, check both O-rings (15) and replace
them if necessary. Should irrigating liquid continue to leak out, the bayonet face plate
(12) is defective and must be replaced.

Only have your Piezon Master 400 repaired by EMS or someone authorized by EMS.
Only use original EMS spare parts and accessories. Should the unit be opened
without authorization or damaged due to non-adherence to the operating instructions,
EMS accepts no liability whatsoever. This will also void the guarantee.
Please note - It is best to ship your Piezon Master 400 in the original packaging. It
protects your Piezon Master 400 against damage during shipping. Before dispatching
your Piezon Master 400, please clean and disinfect it and sterilize the handpiece and
instruments as described in the instructions. Always ship your Piezon Master 400 with
the complete accessories. When sending your Piezon Master 400 directly to the EMS
service department, please include the name and address of your dental dealer. This
simplifies processing for us.
