Fault
No irrigating liquid flows when
the footswitch (18) is activated
Liquid leaks from the irrigating
liquid bottle
Liquid leaks from the handpiece
hose coupling
Liquid leaks from the unit
Possible cause
Power switch (2) switched
OFF
"Water" knob (5) is not set
high enough
The bottle (10) is not in place
or is empty
The handpiece hose (8) is in
the handpiece holder (9)
Use the second footswitch
setting with the rocker switch set
to ENDO
A dry work handpiece has been
fitted
The instrument is blocked
The sections where the liquid
passes through the unit,
handpiece hose or handpiece
are blocked
The handpiece hose (8) or
handpiece are defective
The red washer (13) has been
fitted to the cap incorrectly, has
been damaged or is missing
The screw-cap of the bottle (11)
has been damaged
The O-ring on the small nipple in
the bottle holder (15) has been
damaged
The bayonet face plate has been
damaged
The irrigating liquid bottle has
been damaged
The O-ring on the handpiece
plug is defective
A component where the liquid
passes through in the unit has
been damaged

Remedy
Switch power switch (2) ON
Set "Water" knob (5) higher
Fill the bottle (10) and fit it
Remove the handpiece hose (8)
from the handpiece holder (9)
Only press the footswitch gently
Change the handpiece
Clean the instrument with
compressed air
Send the unit and handpiece to
the EMS service department
Send the unit to the EMS service
department
Check the red washer (13)
Replace the screw-cap
Replace the O-rings
Replace the bayonet face plate
Replace the bottle
Replace the O-ring
Send the unit to the EMS service
department
