5. Residual risks, personal protecti ve equipment (PPE) and emergency situati ons
Residual risks that cannot be eliminated through redesign, constructi on techniques and accident
preventi on:
due to:
- protruding parts
- suspended loads (loading/unloading phase)
- electrical power cables,
- accumulati on of electrostati c charges
- moving parts
- load falling from the structure,
- access inside the counter (e.g. by climbing on
the front side)
Follow the instructi ons in this manual to use the counter correctly and prevent injuries and damages.

You can sti ll check emergency situati ons for which you should use the experience of the op-
erator/engineer, and it must never compromise your own and others' safety by performing
risky or hasty manoeuvres.
6. Purpose of the manual/Field of applicati on - Subjects concerned
DO NOT reproduce, disseminate or change the contents of the manual.
Carefully read the manual to fi nd out how to avoid accidents and use the counter correctly
This manual contains general informati on on the line of Osaka 3P refrigerated cabinets manufac-
tured by ARNEG S.p.A. and the instructi ons deemed necessary for its proper functi oning.

The manual is divided into chapters. Each chapter is intended for a specifi c op-
erator:
QUALIFIED OPERATOR
qualifi ed person, trained to operate, adjust, clean and perform maintenance
on the counter in accordance with the rules applicable in the country of instal-
lati on.
EXPERT REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN
technician trained and authorised by the body indicated in the contract (man-
ufacturer/dealer/distributor) to perform: installati on, extraordinary mainte-
nance, repair, replacement and servicing, aware of the risks they may be ex-
posed to and able to take all the measures to protect themselves and others,
minimising damage with respect to the risks that the interventi ons entail.
For each operati ve, skills are defi ned that are required to operate the counter
in conditi ons of safety.

Risks
It is the responsibility of the customer or employer to make sure that the
operators in charge of maintenance and use are trained according to the
regulati ons in force in the country of installati on.

Where not specifi ed, the chapter regards both subjects described.
Risk reducti on
• wear suitable clothing (free of loose parts)
• Use the Personal Protecti on Devices chap. 3:
- accident preventi on footwear
- cut-resistant gloves
- cut-resistant clothing for the body (apron
with bib, leg protecti on, etc.)
- glasses for protecti on against splinters
- safety helmet
• check equipotenti al connecti on
• prohibits behaviour that is not suitable with
warnings, signals etc. (to be provided by the
Customer)
