12. Battery/Rechargeable Battery Change
a) Weather Station
If the weather station is operated through the enclosed plug-in mains adapter, the batteries are only used to retain
data in case of power outage (or if the weather station is to be taken to a different location and you need to disconnect
the plug-in mains adapter for this).
In this case, we recommend replacing the batteries with new ones at least every 2 years.
Batteries that are too old may leak and damage the weather station. Since the batteries will hardly go flat at
supporting operation, use them up in other devices that are used more frequently. This protects the devices
from damage and is environmentally compatible.
If the weather station is operated with batteries only, you need to replace the batteries when the display contrast
reduces or the display brightness reduces strongly.
A battery replacement is also necessary when the icon „
displayed.
Important!
Connect the enclosed plug-in mains adapter before replacing the batteries. Otherwise, all stored data will
be lost. The alignment of the wind sensor also has to be recalibrated, see chapter 9. e).
b) Outdoor Sensor
A battery replacement is necessary if the icon „
(„CHANNEL 1") is displayed.
Important!
After battery replacement in the outdoor sensor, the alignment of the wind sensor also has to be recalibra-
ted, see chapter 9. e).
