Unit is flashing orange (monitor is

Possible Cause
Sensor Pad cord is not connected
properly to the Nursery Unit.

outside the crib such as motorized devices,
strong drafts, etc.
Sensor Pad sensitivity level is set too high.
Sensor Pad is not in full contact with crib
mattress, or the mattress is not resting on a
hard surface.
Baby is in a very deep sleep or has moved
away from Sensor Pad to the edge of the
crib.

Solution
Unplug and reconnect the cord.
Avoid contact with the crib when monitor
is on.
Place crib near a solid supporting wall to
avoid Sensor Pad from detecting move-
ment from outside the crib. Turn off crib
mobile, fans, loud music or anything else
that may cause vibrations.
You may need to decrease the
sensitivity. Refer to the Movement
Sensitivity Adjustment section.
Make sure there is no bedding between
mattress and the Sensor Pad. The Sensor
Pad must rest on a completely flat and
firm surface. If the crib has a spring or slat
base, place a hard board between the crib
base and the Sensor Pad measuring at
least 13" x 13" (33x33 cm) and 1/4 inch
(6 mm) thick.
Make sure Sensor Pad is positioned cor-
rectly in crib. The sensitivity level may
need to be adjusted. Refer to the
Movement Sensitivity Adjustment
section.
Bring Parent Unit closer to
Nursery Unit.
Check or replace batteries.
Check connections or change
to another electrical outlet.
Make sure both units are on.
Make sure both units are on the same
channel, either both on A or B.
Increase volume level.
