General information

This user manual is intended for the user of the hub. It includes information on the assembly,
maintenance and care of the hub along with the provisions of the warranty.
For further information and activities refer to www.dtswiss.com.
The manual must be read and understood by the user before using the component. Third-party
users must also be informed about the following provisions. Keep this user manual safe in case
you need to refer to it later.
2 Safety
DANGER
Incorrect handling, installation, maintenance or servicing can lead to accidents causing
severe injuries or death!
• Compliance with the following provisions is a prerequisite for accident-free use and
faultless functioning.
• Assembly and maintenance of the hub requires a basic knowledge of handling bicycle
components. If in any doubt, consult your retailer.
• The hub should be used only in accordance with its intended purpose. Otherwise the
user shall assume full responsibility.
• The hub must be compatible with all parts of the bicycle.
• Only use original DT Swiss spare parts.
• The hub must not be changed or modified.
• The hub must not be used if it is damaged or there are any signs of damage. If in any
doubt, consult your retailer.
3 Wheel Building
DANGER
Danger of injury from incorrectly built wheels!
Incorrectly built wheels can suddenly fail while being ridden. A crash with serious conse-
quences is usually unavoidable.
• The wheels must be build by a qualified specialist.
• Radial spoking is only permissible with hubs that have been designed especially for this.
• The maximum spoke tension is 1200 N for crossed spoking / 1000 N for radial spoking.
• We recommend only using DT Swiss spokes. The hub flange of DT Swiss hubs is
optimised for DT Swiss spokes. If spokes from other manufacturers are used, it is not
possible to guarantee optimised function.
