4. Insert the cleaning foot (9) into the main unit (6) until you hear the cleaning foot en-
gage. To detach the cleaning foot (10), press the release button (13) on the back of
the main unit (6) and pull it off at the same time.
Filling the Water Reservoir
CAUTION!
■
The water reservoir cannot be removed! To fi ll the water reservoir, use the measuring
cup that is also supplied!
■
Do not overfi ll the water reservoir, fi ll it no higher than the MAX marking.
■
Never operate the device without water. If it is used for a prolonged period, top it up
again promptly.
We recommend that you pour cold distilled water into the water reservoir (8) in
order to prevent calcifi cation, particularly if the tap water is very hard.

CAUTION!
■
Use the device only if it has been fully and correctly assembled and the fl oor cloth has
been attached for cleaning fl oors.
■
Beware of the risk of scalding! After you switch off the device, hot steam may
continue to emerge for a few seconds! Even after cooling, the water in the reservoir
still remains hot!
We recommend that, before using the device, you sweep the fl oor with a broom
or vacuum it using a vacuum cleaner.
1. Pull the fl oor cloth (12) over the cleaning foot (10) and pull the draw cord tight so that
it cannot slip off.
Use the carpet glider (11) that is also supplied to clean carpets. To do this,
place the carpet glider (11) fl at on the carpet to be cleaned and place the
cleaning foot (10) with the fl oor cloth (12) on the carpet glider (11).
2. Stand the device upright. The joint of the cleaning foot (10) locks in place in a vertical
position.
3. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
1. Open the water reservoir cap (8).
2. Tilt the main unit (6) back slightly to make it easier to pour in
the water.
3. Use the measuring cup that is also supplied to pour cold, clean
water into the water reservoir (9) (note the MAX marking).
4. Close the water reservoir cap (8).
