Excess cordage from either the mixer motor or controller can be wrapped around the ears of

the Pivot Mount to prevent entanglement with the rotating mixer shaft.
Installation Using a Tank Clamp
The tank clamp is attached to the side of a tank and supports both the mixer motor and the controller
(see Figure 8).
1.
Position the tank clamp over the edge of the tank with large knob to the outside of tank.
2.
Allow clamp to rest on edge of tank for added stability and tighten knob.
3.
Position mixer motor over material to be mixed and insert rod of adjustable tilt mounting bracket
into upper hole in tank clamp. Tighten locking knob securely.
4.
Select an impeller and shaft for the required operation and install as instructed below. Contact
your dealer for obtaining the proper shaft size. Refer to the ACCESSORIES section for the
part numbers.
Note: The controller can be placed on any flat surface within 6 ft (183 cm) of the mixer motor or can
be mounted on a Pivot Mount (not supplied). Refer to the ACCESSORIES section for part numbers.
To attach the pivot mount, refer to the section above.
Impeller Attachment
Select an impeller and shaft for the required operation and install as follows:
1.
Place impeller on shaft and tighten set screw.
2.
Open the chuck. Insert the impeller shaft into the open chuck and adjust the impeller to the
desired height. The hollow through-shaft allows the impeller shaft to come through the top
of the mixer motor if necessary. Insert the mixer shaft into the chuck so it extends into the
through-shaft by at least 3 inches to ensure a secure hold on the shaft. Keep mixer shaft as
short as possible to reduce resonant vibrations caused by shaft flexing at higher speeds.
3.
Tighten the chuck. A clicking sound will be heard as the chuck approaches being fully tightened.
Chuck Removal and Attachment
Slide chuck onto motor shaft, aligning the set screw with the through hole on the shaft.
1.
Tighten the set screw using the provided hex key.
