3.2 Functional description

The stainless steel distributor/collector
"Multidis SFQ" serves the distribution of the
fluid to the respective surface heating/cooling
circuits.
The stainless steel distributor/collector
"Multidis SFQ" is equipped with the valve
insert "QM". The infinitely presettable,
diaphragm controlled and differential pressure
independent valve insert serves the automatic
flow control (hydronic balancing) in the surface
heating and cooling systems.
The flow control unit integrated in the valve
insert keeps the differential pressure at a
constant level via the presetting and regulating
cross section of the valve.
Printed tags for marking the surface heating/
cooling circuit connections are supplied with
the stainless steel distributor/collector.
The surface heating/cooling circuits can be
filled, flushed and bled with the help of the fill
and drain valves.

3.3 Operating elements and
indicators
The flow rate is set with the help of the
presetting key at the handwheel of the valve
insert "QM" (the set values are visible from
outside). This will protect the setting against
unauthorised tampering. The valve insert
is infinitely adjustable. The setting can be
modified whilst the system is in operation.
- The flow indicators integrated in
the flow distributor must be in fully
open position (factory setting).
They do not serve the setting
of the flow rate! The black cap
on the flow indicators prevents
tampering and unauthorised
access.
- The position of the indicator rings
in the sight glass bears no direct
relationship to the flow rate set
at the valve insert "QM" and the
height of the indicator rings may
vary at the same flow rate.
Install a ball valve in front of the flow
distributor/return collector for the
isolation of the supply and return
pipe.
