3.2 Functional description
The Multidis SFQ heating circuit distributor/col-
lector serves the distribution of the fluid to the
heating/cooling circuits.
The Multidis SFQ heating circuit distributor/
collector is equipped with the QM valve insert.
The integrated infinitely adjustable, diaphragm
controlled and differential pressure independ-
ent QM valve insert allows for an automatic
flow control (hydronic balancing) of the surface
heating and cooling system. The flow control
unit integrated in the valve insert maintains the
differential pressure at a constant level via the
presetting and regulating cross-section of the
valve.
Printed tags for marking the heating/cooling
circuit connections are supplied with the heat-
ing circuit distributor/collector. You can fix them
to the heating circuit distributor/collector.
You can fill, flush and bleed the heating/cooling
circuits via the fill and drain cocks.
3.3 Operating elements and
displays
Set the flow rate with the help of the presetting
key which is mounted onto the handwheel of
the QM valve insert (the set values are visible
from outside). This will protect the setting
against unauthorised tampering. The valve
insert is infinitely adjustable. The setting can be
modified whilst the system is in operation.
- The flow indicators in the flow dis-
tributor must be in the fully open
position (factory setting). They do
not serve to set the flow rate!
- The position of the indicator ring
in the sight glass has no direct
reference to the flow rate set at the
QM valve insert.
Install ball valves in front of the flow
distributor/return collector to shut off
the supply and return pipe.
