REPLACING THE PYROMETER
►With a screwdriver, unscrew the thermocouple cover located at the rear of the furnace near the
vent.
►Then unscrew the pyrometer and disconnect the two wires attached to it.
►Screw in the new pyrometer and re-connect the two wires, making sure to hook up positive and
negative poles correctly:
+ Green wire
- White wire
Attention: the negative strand on the pyrometer is slightly magnetic.
► Let the furnace heat at a steady 200°C to check that it is working properly.
REPLACING THE MUFFLE
► Flip the master switch to off. Disconnect the power cord. After dismounting the pyrometer,
unscrew the rear panel.
► Remove the insulation plates. Disconnect the muffle. Take the fibre insulation off the upper
half. Pull the muffle out from the rear.
► Install the new muffle, taking care to keep the resistor terminals at least 5 cm away from the
heating element at all times.
► Reassemble the various components by reversing the dismounting order.
► Dehydrate the furnace by heating it at 200°C for one hour. It is then ready for use again.
