5. PREPARING FOR USE
5.1. INSTALLING MULTIGO - MULTIGO IN-LINE
WARNING
USE A ROPE FASTENED ON THE RELEVANT
HOOKS TO LIFT OR LOWER THE PUMP: NEVER
USE THE POWER CORD
To install the MULTIGO - MULTIGO IN-LINE pump, proceed as
directed in PART 1, chapter 7.2 and in the following points:
a) It is best to use rigid pipes (metal or plastic), size G 1
which should be fastened to the pump with appropriately
sized clamps.
b) Secure the pipes to the edge of the tank or reservoir with a
pipe clamp bracket.
c) It is advisable to install a nonreturn valve on the delivery line
when operating conditions are expected to be demanding.
5.2. COMPACT- CVM – MATRIX – HVM INSTALLATION
Follow the instructions in PART 1.

6.1. PUMP PRIMING
WARNING
OPERATION TO BE PERFORMED WITH THE
MOTOR'S TERMINAL STRIP FULLY CLOSED FOR
COMPACT - CVM - MATRIX - HVM MOTOR-DRIVEN
PUMPS.
COMPACT
a) Unscrew the hexagonal cap (1) located on the top of the
pump casing, above the suction port (chap.7, FIG.1);
b) with the aid of a funnel, fi ll the pump with water to overfl owing;
c) screw the hexagonal cap back on until it is locked tight to
prevent air getting in;
d) run the pump at maximum fl ow for a few minutes.
CVM
a) Unscrew the hexagonal cap (1) located on the motor mount
on the side opposite the delivery port (chap. 7, FIG. 2);
b) with the aid of a funnel with a fl exible extension, fi ll the
pump with water to overfl owing;
c) screw the hexagonal cap back on until it is locked tight to
prevent air getting in;
d) run the pump at maximum fl ow for a few minutes.
MATRIX
a) Unscrew the hexagonal cap (1) located on the pump casing
near the discharge port (chap. 7, FIG. 3);
b) with the aid of a funnel, fi ll the pump with water to overfl owing;
c) screw the hexagonal cap on until it is locked tight to prevent
air getting in;
d) run the pump at maximum fl ow for a few minutes.
HVM
a) Unscrew the hexagonal cap (1) located on the motor
mount (chap.7, FIG.5);

b) with the aid of a funnel with a fl exible extension, fi ll the
pump to overfl owing;
c) screw the hexagonal cap back on until it is locked tight to
prevent air getting in;
d) run the pump at maximum fl ow for a few minutes.
MULTIGO - MULTIGO IN-LINE
New pumps may feature a small amount of oil (the food kind),
which does not present a source of health risk.
a) Unscrew the hexagonal cap (1) located on the front of the
pump casing (chap.7, FIG. 4);
b) with the aid of a funnel, fi ll the pump casing with water to
overfl owing;
c) screw the hexagonal cap back on until it is locked tight to
prevent air getting in;
d) areas that have become wet as a result of water leaks must
be dried thoroughly.
