The following simple checks may be performed by the operator. If the machine is still not working, please contact your local Service Agent:
* If the fuse blows several times, the machine should be checked by an authorised Service Agent.
Trouble
Machine fails to start – no power
Machine fails to pick up water from the
floor
Drum not rotating
Drum is rotating, but brushes are not
Machine fails to spray solution onto the
floor (MW240/Pump, MW340/Pump &
MW440/Pump only)
Machine only sprays when handle in
upright position
Machine fails to pour solution onto the
floor (MW240 & MW340 only)
Motor makes a humming noise but does
not turn

Reason

Transport working lever is in bottom position
(see picture 3 on page 15)

Motor overload protector has tripped

Transport wheels not raising off the ground
when handle lowered

Lack of voltage / electrical supply

Incorrectly fitted / damaged recovery tank

Worn brushes

Drum not rotating

Debris around drum or base of machine

Debris around brushes

Faulty pump

Incorrectly fitted / damaged pull cable

No solution in solution tank

Blocked jet

Blocked inline filter

Blocked filter or faulty valve in solution tank

Lower handle bolts are loose

Incorrectly fitted / damaged pull cable

Dirty filter in clean water tank

Blocked holes in outlet channel

Debris around drum and base of the machine
Remedy

Change to operating position (see pictorial guide)

Wait for 1 hour to allow the motor temperature
to reach room temperature. Then try again.

Check for debris and clean machine.

Check fuse *, power cord, plug and socket outlet

Refit or replace recovery tank

Check brush pressure, if needed replace brushes.


Clean drum and base of the machine.

Clean or replace brushes

Can you hear the pump operating? If yes, see
below.
If no:
Check pull cable is fitted correctly, see below.

Refit / replace pull cable - this should be on the
right hand side of the machine from the operator's
position.

Fill solution tank

Clean jet

Clean inline filter

Clean / replace filter or valve

Tighten lower handle bolts

Refit / replace pull cable - this should be on the
right hand side of the machine from the operator's
position.

Empty solution tank and fill up with clean water

Clean holes in outlet channel

Replace solution tank

Clean drum and base of machine
