Product Identification Number

On the outside of the box there is a label with
the product's serial number. This Identification
Number is to be used when you request as-
sistance or substitution of the product under
guarantee.

Main elements of the product

Below there is a list of the main elements that
make up the product:
• Self-diagnosis module
• Rubber shell
• USB cable for connecting self-diagnosis mod-
ule and PC
• Operator's manual
• EOBD socket connection cable
Description of the self-diagnosis
module (BBAD)
Gate identification
The self-diagnosis module is fitted with the fol-
lowing gates:
"D" type high density 26-pole "Diagnosis" D-con-
nector: this connector is used for the connection
with the vehicle electronics (fig.1).

9-pole sub-D "Serial" connector: this connector is
used for the connection with the PC (fig.2).
"Power supply" connector, KYCON type: this
connector is used to power the module if the
vehicle diagnosis socket does not produce a
power supply (fig.3).
The self-diagnosis module is powered via the
diagnosis socket if the system to be examined
is able to produce a power supply for the
system (e.g. a car system fitted with an EOBD

connector).
It can also be powered via a 12V power supply cable from
the cigarette lighter (optional).
