Climbing protection ladder with rungs TAC-0010
The climbing protection system offers a stationary ascent with supporting central stringer,
combined with a catching device (hereinafter called a "runner"). The system is tested and
approved as a unit and is particularly suitable for safe access to high buildings.
SKYLOTEC GmbH grants a warranty of one year for the safety ladder and its accessories
against rust and other material fatigue that could lead to product failure, provided the system is
used as intended.
SKYLOTEC GmbH assumes no liability, for whatever reason and at any time, unless these
installation and maintenance instructions are complied with in all respects.
6.1
Installation of the climbing protection ladder
6.1.1 Installation kit
Ladder segments in various lengths, with 280 mm +/-5 mm rung spacing. The bottom rung
of each segment has the production data stamped on it.
At least 2 mounting brackets per ladder segment, maximum distance of 1680mm between
the mounting brackets.

one end stop at each entry and exit point TAC-0050
one end stop TAC-0060 in the upper ladder segment if the runner can remain in the ladder
system.

Fastening material:
mushroom-head bolts like DIN 603-M12-8.8,
self-locking hex nuts DIN 985 with non-metallic locking
D13 washers for securing the mounting bracket, connecting plate, insert lock and end stop
Fastening materials needed to attach the ladder to the structure are not included in the
delivery. For mounting to the wall, it must be adapted to the structural conditions and
structurally documented where necessary.
The minimum size of fastening technology employed is 1x M16 per mounting bracket.
6.1.2 Tools needed for installation
1 combination wrench SW 19
1 torque wrench as required for the fastening technology (BFT)
Appropriate drills and setting materials for the on-site fastening technology
PPE
At least 2 persons are required for installation.
6.1.3 Preassembly
Before the ladder is mounted on the structure, the mounting brackets must be attached to
the guide rail. (For dimensions see point 5.1.5)
The bolt head must be located on the inside of the climbing protection rail profile and the
square nut must sit cleanly in the hole. Please note minimum spacing and tread clearances.
