Install the filter in the cold water pipes in front of the
objects to be protected (see installation diagram).
Always provide stop valves.
Install connecting module or connector in the di-
rection of flow in the horizontal or vertical cold water
pipe (observe direction of flow arrow).

1. Turn the red retaining ring to the left until it stops.
2. Push the unit's catches into the recesses
3. and rotate the unit by 45º clockwise until it stops.
4. Pull the red retaining ring with both hands to-
wards the unit until it locks into place. The unit is
now protected against accidental twisting.
To loosen the filter, press the retaining ring to-
wards the connecting module.

Screw the filter onto the connector with 4 hexagon
screws and seals (4 fastening screws and wash-
ers enclosed).
Check the seal for proper fit. Tighten screws evenly
and crosswise.
Route the flushing water connection to the drain
so that no reflux occurs.

Check filter and flushing water pipe to make sure
they are properly installed.
If no sewage connection is available, a collecting
basin (approx. 10 litres) must be provided.
Pull cover plate (8 8 8 8 8 ) down and check whether the
safety stop valve (7 7 7 7 7 ) is open (if necessary set
groove to vertical position using screwdriver). The
stop valve remains open at all times. Slide cover
plate back upwards.
Slowly open the stop valves before and after the
filter. Deaerate the pipework at the next bleed point
after the filter.
Check the seals of the installation and the filter.
The filter is now ready to use.

A backwash should be carried out if the water
pressure drops as a result of increasing levels of
dirt in the filter element, and in any case at least
every 2 months.
As a reminder the next backwash can be set on
the date ring (5 5 5 5 5 ).
