10.1 Mounting bearing NU 216ECP on shaft no. 5

Remove the inner ring by gently sliding from the complete bearing. Heat the inner ring
with induction Heater TIH 030/230V, as described in section 7.1.
When the ring has reached the desired temperature press it against the abutment face
of the shaft until an interference it is obtained. When the inner ring is cooled, replace the
cage and roller assembly.

10.2 Dismounting bearing NU 216ECP on shaft no.5

Take away cage and roller assembly. Coat the inner ring with an oxidation resistant oil,
which can withstand heating. Heat aluminium ring TMBR NU 216ECP to temperature of
approx. 280 °C (536 °F) by means of a hot plate or an open ire. (An ordinary kitchen hot
plate can do this job).
Monitor the temperature of the heating ring using the temperature probe of the TKTL 20.
Place the aluminium ring around the bearing inner ring and press the handles together.
Wait for a short time, then try to rotate the tool until the bearing inner ring comes loose
from the shaft, then pull it off. Carefully open the handles and take away the bearing
inner ring.
