9. Faults
Warning:
-
Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.

Work must only be carried out on the equipment by an electrical engineer with the
relevant training and qualifications.
Probleem

Oplossing
Switch on 24 V DC supply voltage
(Switch on Manager IQ Easy)
Locate fault and remedy, see 5.3
Replace M12 cable/connector
Increase output voltage by increasing
setpoint (6.2)
Set the IQ Com to "Run" mode (6.2)
Set the "Remote On/Off" signal to active
or set the IQ Com to "Continuous mode"

Change CM5 parameters (6.1)
Reduce output voltage by reducing
setpoint or increasing distance to earth
Locate short circuit and eliminate
restart the IQ Com
The IQ Com is defective, ask a RMA and
send it back to Simco
(Chapter 10)
Check the supply voltage (IQ Easy
manager)
Connect the CM5 generator to the IQ
Com and make sure it is powered on
Eliminate overload (24 V DC > 50 mA)
Set the output current peak warnings /
alarms to the correct value (6.2)
Set the time for the charging pulse and
the charging pulse warning to the correct
value (6.2)
Check the wiring between the IQ Com
and the IQ Easy manager
Restart the IQ Easy manager
