Tubing can break loose under pressure and lash about
uncontrollably!
Severe injuries to your eyes and ears are possible.
O Always wear goggles and ear protectors
during commissioning.
O Check that the tubing is firmly connected
before applying pressure.
The valve system may only be commissioned with the
entire system in which it is installed.
O Contact the system manufacturer if you want to
commission the valve system.
O Before commissioning, make sure that the entire
system is in accordance with the EMC directive.

Extension and Conversion
Danger of explosion due to impermissible components!
Components that are not approved by AVENTICS may
cause explosions in explosive areas.
O For conversions and extensions, only use the
permissible components listed in section
"13 Appendix".
Danger of explosion due to a faulty device!
Malfunctions may occur after the device is converted.
O After converting, always do a function test in a non-
explosive area before recommissioning the device.
Damage to the valve system!
Forcefully opening tight parts will damage the device.
O Never forcefully open tight parts.
Exchange the seals and connections after each five
openings with original spare parts (see "Permissible
components" in section "13 Appendix")
O See the dimensional drawings for the tightening torques.
Warranty
The AVENTICS warranty only applies to the delivered
configuration and extensions taken into account in the
configuration. The warranty no longer applies after a
conversion that exceeds these extensions.

NOTICE
Before extending or converting the
CD01-PA
If you expand the CD01-PA:
1. Make sure that the relevant system part with the
installed CD01-PA is not under voltage or pressure.
2. Remove all of the pneumatic and electrical connections.
3. Remove the CD01-PA from the mounting surface (see
"10 Disassembly and Disposal").
If you exchange components assembled on the
intermediate plates:
O Make sure that the relevant system part with the
installed CD01-PA is not under voltage or pressure.
The pneumatic and electrical connections can remain
in place. You do not need to remove the CD01-PA from
the mounting surface.
Expanding valve positions
In order to expand the valve positions, you must unscrew
the valve system at the appropriate place, insert a new
intermediate plate, and then screw both parts of the valve
system back together again.
A maximum of 16 valves as per ISO 15407-1, with a
width of 26 mm, may be used in one valve system.
Tightening torque for M5 screws with hexagon socket:
4 ±0.5 Nm
Separating into pressure zones
You can divide the CD01-PA into two pressure zones using
separators. Compressed air can then be independently
supplied via any end plate with the desired pressure. More
than two pressure zones are not permitted.
O Always insert the separators on the left side of the
intermediate plate.
In order to pneumatically separate the CD01-PA using
separators, unscrew the intermediately plates that will form
the separation zone, insert the separators for the pressure
zones, and then screw the components back together.
Tightening torque for M5 screws with hexagon socket:
4 ±0.5 Nm
Assembling contact bridges
Damage to contact bridges!
The contacts in the contact bridges may be damaged if
incorrectly assembled or disassembled.
O Always insert the contact bridges from the top
vertically and remove them towards the top vertically.
The contact bridges are fastened with a slotted M2.5
mounting screw.
Tightening torque for mounting screws: 0.25 +0.05 Nm
