Do not make any changes to the device. Also do not replace

the mains cable yourself. Only ever have repairs to the device,
cable and plug carried out in a specialist workshop. Contact
the customer service department if necessary. Incorrect repairs
may pose considerable risks to the user.
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid
■
over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot sur-
faces.
Only use the device in places where heat and moisture cannot
■
cause any damage. Shortly after use, place it down on a water-
resistant and heat-resistant surface.
Always work with suffi cient lighting.
■
Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (note MAX marking on the
■
measuring cup!).
Never pour any descaling or cleaning agent or other chemical
■
additives into the device. This may destroy the device and safe
working is no longer guaranteed.
Open the water reservoir only to fi ll it. Otherwise keep it closed
■
during operation.
Never cover up the steam nozzles and do not stick any objects
■
into them.
Only activate the steam release button when the water reservoir
■
has been fi lled with water.
Maintain a suffi cient distance from heat sources such as hobs
■
or ovens in order not to damage the device. Do not place any
naked fl ames, e.g. burning candles, in the immediate vicinity of
the device, cable or plug.
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.

Do not place any heavy objects on the device, the cable or the
■
plug.
Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
■
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, wide tem-
■
perature variations, moisture, wet conditions or direct sunlight.
