1. Initial checks

Thank you for choosing a BODET clock. This product has been carefully designed for your
satisfaction according to the rules of our ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality system.
We recommend that you read this manual carefully before installing the product.
Retain this manual throughout the lifespan of your product so that you can refer to it when necessary.
Failure to observe these instructions may cause irreversible damage and invalidate the warranty.
BODET shall not be responsible for any damage arising due to non-observance of these instructions.

These instructions relate to the "IMPULSE MIN 24V, MIN 1V5 and AFNOR" models.
For other models, please refer to the corresponding instructions.

1.1 Unpacking the clock

Carefully unpack the clock and check the contents of the package. These should include:
– the clock and this manual or a quick-start guide.
– three dowel screws and three rawl plugs for mounting a single-sided clock onto a wall.
Version: a label identifying the clock version and its electrical characteristics is stuck outside the
clock.
Impulse Minute (MIN 24V) = a slave clock driven by a master clock sending minute impulses on a
parallel line.
Impulse Minute (MIN 1V5) = a slave clock driven by a time base from a control unit sending 1.5V
minute impulses.
AFNOR = a slave clock driven by a master clock sending AFNOR NFS-87500A time code
messages or by a GPS or radio receiving antenna.

1.2 Cleaning

Use an anti-static product. Never use alcohol, acetone or other solvents, which may damage the
clock's casing or glass. After operations in the clock, the seals should be cleaned before an
application of silicone oil on it, to facilitate the opening and closing of the clock.
1.3 Safety instructions – Precautions for installation
Caution: this equipment must be fitted and maintained by a qualified person.

1.3.1 Using the guide

Be sure to follow the indications given by the pictograms in this manual. The main pictograms are
identified below:
