5. Installing and removing the shut-off unit

The shut-off unit may be installed
or removed by qualified personnel
only. Please contact a local, licensed
plumber.
To remove the shut-off unit , the supply
line must be shut off and drained.
- To remove the shut-off unit, first remove the
JRGURED UP cartridge/by-pass plug
(see Section 3).
- Apply the installation tool (Art. No. 8140.000)
to the hexagon (SW 36) and unscrew the
shut-off unit by turning it counter-clockwise.

You must not try to repair the shut-
off unit. If the sealing element or the
sealing surface is damaged, replace
the entire unit (Art. No. 1382.320).
- To install the new shut-off unit, insert it into
the housing with the help of the installation
tool and screw it tight clockwise
(tightening torque 10-15 Nm).
