ity with DIN EN 179 and DIN EN 1125. Changes which are not described in this
manual may not be undertaken."
Unsuitable doors may result in life-threatening danger, risk of injury and
material damage, as well as reduced intrusion protection: Only approved and
technically correct doors are suitable for installation of lock. The door must be in-
stalled properly and may not have any signs of warpage. Door operating elements
may not impede each other.
Diminished fire protection function may result in life-threatening danger, risk
of injury and material damage: Fire doors prevent fire from spreading and are
tested as a complete unit with accessories:
· regulations established by inspection authorities must be complied with,
· the certification of the fire door must match the lock,
· the door manufacturer must be consulted if the lock is to be replaced and a dif-
ferent model used or a lock is to be retrofit,
· specifications of the door manufacturer must be observed,
· the installed lock must be the appropriate size.
Broken glass doors may result in life-threatening danger, risk of injury and
material damage: Glass doors or glass parts on doors must be made of safety
glass or composite safety glass.
Unsuitable door seals may result in life-threatening danger, risk of injury and
material damage: When door seals are used (such as profile seals or bottom
seals), no function of the lock may be impaired.
