Language setting

The telephone supports the following lan-
guages:
English, Czech, Portuguese, Turkish, Italian,
Spanish, Dutch, French, German, Polish,
Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Norwegian.
To select the language, proceed as follows:
1. Press "OK/MENU" to access the settings
menu.
2. Press "↑" or "↓" to move to the menu item
"Sprache".
3. Press "OK/MENU" to confirm your selec-
tion.
4. Press "↑" or "↓" to select the desired lan-
guage.
5. Press "OK/MENU" to confirm your selec-
tion and exit the settings menu.
Setting the area/ long-distance
code
(These settings can only be made in English
or Polish and when the receiver is on the
hook.)
When you use your telephone for the first
time or move to an area with a different area
code, you will have to enter the new area
code. This is necessary so that the tele-
phone can differentiate between local calls
and long-distance calls.
1. Press "OK/MENU" to access the settings
menu.
2. Press "↑" or "↓" to move to the menu item
"Area & LDS".
3. Press "OK/MENU" to confirm your selec-
tion.
4. Use the keypad to enter the area code.
5. Press "OK/MENU" to move the cursor to
the next position.
6. Once the area code has been set, the
display will read "SET LDS CODE" and
you can enter the long-distance code on
the keypad.
7. Press to exit the settings menu.

Setting the time format

1. Press "OK/MENU" to access the settings
menu.
2. Press "↑" or "↓" to move to the menu item
"Zeit-Format".
3. Press "OK/MENU" to confirm your selec-
tion. The time format currently selected
will appear in the display.
4. Press "↑" or "↓" to select the desired time
format (12 hours/24 hours).
5. Press "OK/MENU" to confirm your selec-
tion and exit the settings menu.
