MEASURING CALIBRATION PH, RX, CL, PPM
During the calibration, the pH, Rx, Cl or ppm value, shown on the left part of the display, is the measuring value of
probe, while the value shown on the right part of the display is the value of the buffer solution to be used. These values
are adjustable by the user by using the left or right arrows, depending on the buffer solution to be used.
To calibrate the controller which is incorporated into the pump, it is expected the calibration of two SET of measure.
pH calibration
The calibration of the first point (set 1) for pH must be pH 7 (as default)
•
Submerse the electrode in pH 7 buffer solution (default SET 1)
•
Wait until the value on the left part of the display stabilizes
•
Confirm with arrow down
•
Submerse the electrode in pH 9 buffer solution (default SET 2)
•
•
Confirm with arrow down
Redox (mV) calibration
Short circuit the BNC connector on the bottom of the pump: Use a copper wire to make contact between the inner pin and the
•
cylindrical outside
On the left part of the display, there will be a value equal to zero (default value set 1). Press the down arrow
•
Submerse the electrode in Rx 650mV buffer solution (default value set 2)
•
Wait until the value on the left part of the display stabilizes
•
Confirm with arrow down
•
Cl (ppm) and ppm calibration
Warning: This procedure assumes that the controller is connected to a working Chlorine probe which is installed
on the system. The measurement should be made using the system water. Otherwise, the results may not be reliable.
Enter the configuration menu by pressing the down arrow, to calibrate SET 1
•
Install an "activated carbon filter" upstream of the system and slide the water inside it for about 30 minutes
•
At stable value confirm with the down arrow
•
For the second point (SET 2) use a photometer or a DPD system to measure the chlorine in the plant. Enter the read value, moving
•
with the left and right arrows (which changes the value to the right of the display), confirm with arrow down.
