SPEED LIMITER (Fig.5)
Speed limiter D in the position shown limits the
machines speed for cutting. By moving the limiter to
its forward position full transport speed can be
obtained.
Forward transport speed is limited by the adjustable
Speed Limiter C, shown in its least limiting position.
IMPORTANT: When cutting the speed limiter
must be in the position shown in fig. 5 for safety
purposes and to obtain the best results.

SAFETY CATCHES (A & B Fig.6)
When transporting, the safety catches should
always be engaged with the units raised. These
units can be hydraulically locked in any position by
releasing the lift control lever at the required
position.
To secure the front units in the transport position the
catch should be rotated to trap the shaft on the side
of the lift arm. The rear (centre) unit is held in the
transport position by a catch which is operated by
the lever on the operators left hand side next to the
seat.
BRAKES (E Fig.7)
Push this pedal forward until it locks to set parking
brake. Release parking brake by pushing the brake
pedal at the same time knob Y is pulled up.

HYDRAULIC LIFT LEVERS (Fig.8)
The cutting units can be raised and lowered by three
control levers situated on the right hand side beside
the operator and can be operated as follows:
Centre lever controls Rear Unit No. 1
Right hand lever controls R.H. Unit No. 2
Left hand lever controls L.H. Unit No. 3
NOTE: If any unit is raised out of work then lowered
into work again the cylinder will not rotate until the
mow foot switch is depressed.
To lift: Move the lever(s) upwards and hold in
position until the units are at the required height.
To lower: Move the lever(s) fully downwards and
release, the unit(s) will lower to ground level. DO
NOT hold lever in down position.
NOTE: The units will only lift and lower when the
engine is running.
IMPORTANT: If, when cutting, a lift control lever is
accidently pulled up, the cutting units will not float
over ground undulations until the lever is pushed
fully down and allowed to return to neutral again.
