(2)When you lake a picture of a person

the shutter
will
open,
the red-eye reduction lamp will light first,
and then the main flash will go
off.
The flash will go off approximately 0.5 seconds
alter the "red-eye" reduction lamp lights. Make
sure thal the camera and the person being
photographed are still du ring this briel ti
me.
The flash will not work under bright
conditions.
When taki ng flash pictures
,
select the slowest
exposure lime of 1/45 sec. in the wide angle mode
and

in the telephoto mode.

Flash On Mode (Fig. 19)

Using the flash on mode will help you take better-
looking pictures of subjects thal are back-lit (such
as subjects under an overcast sky or people who
are standing in front of a window indoors)

laken if the flash is used when there is bright
ambient light.
The slowest shutter speeds in this mode are 1/4
