Hybrid installation

If the propulsion unit consists of both an electric motor and a
diesel engine then the term hybrid installation is used.
The diesel engine of a hybrid installation may not be of unlimited
size, since the torque must be transmitted to the propeller shaft
via the electric motor shaft.
The maximum torque that the electric motor shaft may transmit
is 80 Nm.
The maximum engine power is dependent on the reduction of
the gearbox and the revolutions at which the engine delivers its
maximum power.

ing safety. Be sure to follow these instructions care-
fully.
Ensure that anyone else who operates the motor has read these
safety instructions.
General rules and regulations concerning safety and the preven-
tion of accidents should also be taken into account.
• Never touch moving parts when the motor is running.
• Never touch hot parts of the motor and never place inflamma-
ble materials in the proximity of the motor.
• Always stop the motor before checking components or making
adjustments.
• To ensure safe maintenance work, use only suitable tools and
equipment.
