Intended purpose
The JuzoFlex Malleo Xtra provides anatomical guidance
for the affected ankle, thus relieving it during movement.
Medical compressive active supports have a proprio-
ceptive effect. They improve self-perception and can
compensate for muscle imbalances. They alleviate pain
and support the removal of fluids from the tissue, thanks
to their rheological effect.
How to put on the product correctly:
Put on your compression support while you're sitting
down to prevent injuries or falling.
1. Grasp the support on the upper edge and pull it over
your ankle.
2. The correct fit of your support is guaranteed when it
firmly surrounds the ankle without applying too much
(painful) pressure on the ankles (malleoli). Fine adjust-
ment of the support may be made at any time.
Caution: rough, unfiled finger nails or sharpedged
rings etc. may damage the knitted fabric. Toe nails and
calluses can cause damages, as can the defective inner
lining of shoes.
Please note:
Only wear your support when prescribed by your physi-
cian. Medical aids should only be dispensed by suitably
trained staff of a medical products supplier. The support
can only be fully effective when it has been put on
correctly and is being worn in accordance with treatment
recommendations. The support is largely resistant to
oils, ointments, skin moisture and other environmental
influences. The durability of the material may be affected
by certain combinations of the above. We therefore
recommend that it be examined regularly by the medical
products supplier. Should the product become damaged,
please consult your specialist supplier. Do not repair
the support yourself – this could compromise its quality
and medical efficacy. For hygienic reasons, the support
is not suitable for treating more than one patient. The
sewn-in textile label is important for the identification
and traceability of the product. We therefore ask you not
to remove the label under any circumstances.
Washing and care instructions
Please note the care instructions on the textile label
sewn into your stockings. Wash the supports separately
the first time (colour may run). Your support should
be washed every day or between uses on a gentle or
delicate wash cycle (30 °C). Tip: a laundry net provides
additional protection for the knitted fabric. Please do not
use fabric softener! When hand washing, rinse well and
do not wring. We recommend the gentle Juzo special
detergent. You can reduce drying time by placing the
support on a thick towel after washing, tightly rolling the
towel up and firmly pressing out excess moisture. Then
hang the support up loosely. Do not leave the product
in the towel and do not dry it on a radiator or in the sun.
Juzo supports are not suitable for dry cleaning. The
support is not suitable for tumble drying.

sewn into your product.
Storage information and shelf life
The medical retailer or doctor prescribing the support
will recommend exactly how long it should be used for.
If the product is being worn and washed every day, its
maximum usage duration will be 6 months. If the product
is used on an irregular basis, the wearing duration will
be longer, up to a maximum of 12 months. Based on indi-
vidual use, product wear may differ. We therefore recom-
mend that the product is checked by a medical specialist
in the event of suspected changes. Store the product in
a dry place and protect it from sunlight. Supports have a
maximum shelf life of 42 months. The usage duration of
the medical product is printed on the box with an hour-
glass symbol. Body measurements may change based
on the patient's condition and individual circumstances.
We therefore recommend that body measurements are
checked regularly by a medical specialist.
