4.3 Oil filling and checking
NOTE: The generator is delivered without oil. Do not attempt to start the
generator without adding oil in the engine first!
The generator has to be on a perfectly flat surface and levelled, to avoid an error
in the oil level reading.
Remove the cap with oil level and put the oil into the engine through the hole until
reaching the maximum level indicated in the image below.
The estimated amount of oil to reach a correct level, per model is the following:
NATURA3500 model
NATURA6000-8000W models
Preferably use a synthetic engine oil SAE10W40 with API "SJ" (USA) or ACEA
"A3" (EUROPE) or more updated (see container specifications). This oil will give
excellent results in variable climates such as continental Europe, both in winter
and summer.
NOTE: The combustion of PROPANE gas is drier and has a higher
temperature compared to the combustion of gasoline. To ensure correct
lubrication, choose a high-quality synthetic oil. Do not use used oils, oils of
unknown origin or with prices that are too cheap.
NOTE: The engine may consume a bit of oil during its running. Therefore,
before each running, always check oil level and refill if necessary.
