Use only one chemical at a time for cleaning, and always rinse with water before use of a second
chemical.

national regulations.
The tubing of the sample filtration systems is cleaned during the cleaning procedure. Refer to the
analyzer documentation for more information. If intensive cleaning is necessary, do the steps that
follow to clean the sample tubing with the integrated procedure.
Items to collect:
• 5% chlorine bleach (LCW1111
• Cleaning set includes:
• Empty bottle, 1 L (2.5 gal)
• Tubing cap
• Tubing
• Straight connector
• Y-connector
1. For an SC4500 Controller, do the steps that follow:
a. Select the main menu icon, then select Devices.
b. Select NH6000SC > Device menu > Maintenance > Cleaning > Sample tubing cleaning.
2. For an SC1000 Controller, do the steps that follow:
a. Select the main menu button from the pop-up toolbar.
b. Select SENSOR SETUP > NH6000SC > MAINTENANCE > CLEANING > CLEAN SAMPLE
TUBING.
3. Select Start guided (or START GUIDED).
Note: The analyzer automatically enters maintenance mode and the measurements will stop.
4. Prepare the manual cleaning procedure as follows:
a. Make sure that the filter module is in the process.
b. Make sure that 300 mL of cleaning solution is available.
c. Fill the 1-L (2.5-gal) bottle with clean water.
d. Close the bottle.
5. Connect the sample pump to the cleaning solution bottle as follows:
a. Disconnect the sample pump tubing from the overflow vessel.
b. Connect the straight connector to the cleaning tubing.
c. Remove the cap from the cleaning solution bottle.
d. Install the tubing cap of the cleaning set on the cleaning solution bottle.
e. Connect the cleaning tubing to the bottle cap.
f. Put the cleaning solution bottle in a stable position on the ground.
g. Connect the cleaning tubing to the sample pump.
6. Push OK (or ENTER) to start the cleaning procedure.
The procedure will take about 10 minutes. Wait until the procedure is completed.
