The left and right channel inputs to the DEQ7 are female XLR
type connectors for compatibility with professional equipment
and maximum connection reliability. The input circuitry is elec-
ohms.

The LEVEL switch permits selection of -20 dB or +4 dB nomi-
nal input level.

These Yamaha-format digital IN and OUT connectors permit
direct digital connection to compatible Yamaha equipment —
such as the DMP7 Digital Mixing Processor. When using the
digital input, use the UTILITY mode "INPUT ATTENUATOR"
function to set the appropriate input level.

MIDI signals from external MIDI devices can be fed to the MIDI
IN connector to remotely select EQ programs and trig ger the dy-
namic EQ programs. The MIDI OUT connector is provided so
that the internal RAM memory contents may be dumped to a
MIDI data recorder for large-volume, long-term storage. Pro-
gram data thus stored can be re-loaded later via the MIDI IN
connector.
