OPERATION
The tire change operation consists of three parts:
1. Tire bead breaking
2. Tire dismounting
3. Tire mounting Caution: Before any operation, do not wear
loose clothing and wear a helmet, gloves, and non-slip foo-
twear. Make sure to completely deflate the tire and remove
the wheel weights.
Tire bead breaking: Completely deflate the tire. Place the tire against the rubber stopper. Po-
sition the paddle against the bead about 10mm from the edge of the rim. Press the tire bead
breaker pedal (U) to insert the paddle into the tire. Repeat the
above operations in different positions of the tire and on both
sides until it is completely released.
Tire Dismounting: Make sure to remove all wheel weights and
completely deflate the tire before performing this operation.
Apply lubricating grease (or similar lubricant) around the tire
bead. Lack of lubricant may cause excessive tire wear.
Hold the wheel according to the methods outlined below, con-
sidering the indicated dimensions:
a) To hold the wheel from the outside:
Open and close the jaws of the pedal (V) halfway, positioning the four claws (G) according to
the reference scale on the turntable (Y); place the tire on the turntable, grip the rim, and open
and close the pedal jaws (V) until the wheel is secured by the claws.
b) To hold the wheel from the inside:
Position the four claws (G) and leave them all closed. Place the tire on the turntable and step
on the jaws by opening and closing the pedal (V) to open the jaws and thus lock the wheel.
Caution: Verify that the rim is properly and uniformly held by the four claws before proceeding
to the next step.
