wiring and/or replace defective components. Press prong
connectors to assure contact.
. Sand bound pump can sometimes be corrected by tem-
porarily reversing black and red leads in control box then
returning to normal (14 3-wire or 32). Otherwise pump
must be pulled and cleaned or repaired.
. Pump must be pulled and the motor or electrical cable
repaired or replaced.
. Reverse check valve or ensure that check valve poppett is
not being restricted in its travel because of piping being
threaded in too far.
. Properly connect one phase 3-wire unit or interchange any
two leads on three phase unit.
. Raise plpe, check for leak and replace damaged section.
. Clean screen and reset at less depth. Well may have to be
cleaned.
. Normal delivery may resume if pump is started and
Stopped at one minute intervals.
. Throttle pump output or reset pump at lower depth if well
will allow.
. Pull pump and repair or replace.
Check for damaged shaft if coupling is loose. Replace
worn or defective unit,
. Clean points or replace switch.
. Throttle pump output or reset pump at lower depth if well
will allow.
. Repair or replace tank or pipe section.
. Pull pump and repair or replace.

FINAL CHECKS.
1.
Make certain all connections are properly made.
2.
Turn on current at disconnect switch. Pump should start and water should flow within a few seconds, depending
on depth of setting of pump.
3.
Checkthe amperage with an ampmeter and the voltage with voltmeter. Compare the readings with pre-installation
tests and limits shown in Electrical Information Table.
4.
It is also recommended that a resistance reading be made. Power supply MUST be disconnected to make resist-
ance readings. These tests will determine if there is damage to the cable when installing or if short or ground exists.
5.
Also check the line voltage at the control box or magnetic starter during start and run conditions. Make sure volt-
age is within limits shown on Electrical Information Table.
