5. Remove one tube
assembly from the
heater block.
9. Put the collector
tube in the collector
tube rack.
Collect the distilled samples

for at least 10 minutes.

6. Within 4 seconds,
pull down and twist the
sample tube to remove
it from the collector
tube.
10. Do steps 5–9 until
all the tubes are
removed from the
heater block. Then,
take off the gloves.
2. Remove a tube from
the rack.
7. Discard the hot
sample and the sample
tube.
3. Hold the tube
horizontally. Slowly roll
the collector tube to
collect drops on the
sides of the tube.
8. Invert the collector
tube so that the D end
is up.
4. Hold the tube
vertically with the D end
up. Tap the sides of the
collector tube as
necessary to move
drops down to the M
end.
