5. Break off the D end
of the tube with hands.
Discard the D end of
the tube.
Dilute the distilled samples
For Tritium-1, add distilled sample and dilution water to the scintillation vials as necessary. Add
scintillation cocktail and count. Refer to the instructions from the manufacturer.
For the other methods:
1. Remove the cap
from a tube.
5. Put the tube in the
rack with the M end
down.
Measure the sample
Measure the sample with the QuikChem Method or equivalent. Refer to
on page 20.
There is enough distillate in each tube for two 25-second sample periods.
6. Put a cap on the
tube.

to the 6.0 mL mark on
