Fire hazard. Do not use flammable agents to clean the instrument.
Chemical exposure hazard. Dispose of chemicals and wastes in accordance with local, regional and
national regulations.
To prevent instrument damage, do not use cleaning agents such as turpentine, acetone or similar products to
clean the instrument or the display.
Keep the instrument clean to get continuous and accurate operation.
1. Turn the power switch off.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. When the instrument is cool, clean the surface of the instrument with a soft, moist cloth and a
weak soap solution.
4. Let the instrument fully dry before use.
Clean a spill
If a large amount of liquid gets in the heater block:
1. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
2. Let the instrument cool.
3. Rinse the holes with water. Water drains out of the bottom of the instrument through the drain
plate.
4. Let the instrument fully dry before use.

Replace the fuse

Fire hazard. Use the same type and current rating to replace fuses.
Fuse failure is typically caused by an instrument problem. If the fuse continues to fail, contact
Customer Service.
Note: 100–115 VAC model: Although there are positions for two fuses, only the upper fuse in the fuse drawer is
connected in the circuit. The lower fuse is used as a replacement and is not necessary.
