Installation
4.1.2 Load hooks and lifting tackle
The device is attached to the carrier/lifting device with a load hook or a suitable lifting tackle.
Ensure that the single chains strands are not twisted or knotted.
Attaching the device to the lifting device/carrier, take care that all local safety regulation is observed.
4.2
Hydraulical connection
•
To operate the VZ-HS device, a hydraulic circuit is required to open and close the clamp. The
hydraulic hoses on the carrier device are connected to the connections on the control block of the
VZ-HS device.
•
If the VZ-HS device is equipped with a rotary motor, a second control circuit is required.
•
A pilot-operated non-return valve is installed in the hydraulic circuit of the VZ-HS device to prevent
the load from falling out of the tongs in the event of a pressure drop.
•
If the carrier device does not have the required number of hydraulic circuits, a control circuit can be
used to connect two functions via an electromagnetic changeover valve (ELMV)
•
When connecting, make sure that the hydraulic hoses do not have any chafing points and cannot
get caught on any protruding edges during lifting and lowering movements.
G
To ensure that the device (VZ-HS) functions correctly and reliably, the following values must be
observed:
Connected loads::
Conveying capacity
Carrier device:
Operating pressure
Carrier device:
Back pressure
in the return flow:
To avoid faults and malfunctions, the correct connection of the hydraulic hoses must be
checked before each start-up of the device (VZ-HS)!
