c) I nstallation must be carried out on seats equipped with the
Isofix System.
d) The child must not weigh more than 20 kg.
e) During installation with the Isofix system, the vehicle safety
harness must not be fastened behind the child car seat, as this
would engage the inflatable portion of the safety harness.
3. Changing the configuration from "i-Size" Universal integral
ISOFIX to "i-SIZE Booster Seat" (see illustrations 12 to 20)

Focus areas
a) The support leg must be positioned under the base of the seat!
b) Not all reclining positions may be usable in all vehicles.
c) The vehicle's seat must be equipped with 3-point seat belt
(static or retractable), type-approved in accordance with UN/
ECE Regulation No. 16 or other equivalent standards (Fig. 21).
c) The child car seat can be installed on the front seat, passenger
side of the vehicle or on any of the rear seats, and must always
be positioned facing in the direction of travel. Never use this
child car seat on side-facing or rear-facing seats (Fig. 23).
e) Never fit the child car seat to a vehicle seat that is only
equipped with a 2-point seat belt. 22).
f ) Ensure that the waist part of the vehicle seat belt is positioned
correctly across the child's hips.
g) If used in a vehicle equipped with rear seat belts with inte-
grated air bags (inflatable seat belts), the interaction between
the inflatable portion of the vehicle seat belt and this child re-
straint system could cause serious injury or death. When using
the car seat in vehicles equipped with rear vehicle seat belts
with integrated air bags (inflatable seat belts), follow the car
manufacturer's instruction manual.
h) Make sure that the buckle of the car's three-point seat belt is
not too high. Otherwise, try to install the car seat on a different
seat in the vehicle. In some cases, the vehicle seat belt buckle
may be too long and exceed the expected height from the
bottom part of the seat (Fig. 23). In this case the seat must not
be fixed on that seat but must be installed on another seat on
which there is no problem. For more information, contact your
car manufacturer.
