13 Replacing the fuse
The multimeter is equipped with a replaceable fuse to reduce operational hazards
and to protect the multimeter from damage.
1. Disconnect the test leads from the multimeter.
2. Switch the multimeter off by rotating the dial to the position OFF.
3. Remove the screw from the battery compartment at the rear with a suitable
screwdriver.
4. Remove the battery compartment cover.
5. Replace the fuse with a new one of the same type and specification. Refer to
the "Technical data" for details.
6. Attach the battery compartment cover and tighten the screw. WARNING! The
open battery compartment can expose voltage-carrying components.
Danger to life from electric shock! Always attach the cover before operat-
ing.
