10 Testing
10.1 Testing for continuity
In continuity mode, you can test for continuity and measure the resistance of an
electric circuit at the same time. For resistance values below or equal to 50 Ω, the
multimeter will beep to indicate continuity. The continuity test measures resist-
ances of up to 60 MΩ.
NOTICE
Voltage-carrying components can damage the multimeter
● Disconnect components from power supply
● Discharge components before measuring/testing
Important:
Keep the measuring points and the test probes clean and free from dirt, oil,
solder and other impurities to ensure accurate results.
1. Disconnect the component you want to measure from the power supply and
completely discharge it.
2. Connect the red test lead to the measurement socket V mA.
3. Connect the black test lead to the measurement socket COM.
4. Rotate the dial to Ω.
5. Repeatedly press the button MODE until the display shows the continuity sym-
bol
