pumped fluids, it may be necessary to wear appropriate clothing to protect from contact with the same.
For safety reasons and to ensure compliance with the warranty conditions, the purchaser is forbidden to
use the pump should this become faulty or in the event of a sudden variation in the performances of the
pump itself.
3. DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT AND USE
3.1 Technical, operational characteristics
and fields of use
Submersible electric pumps FDR-FDP and FLV series are particularly designed to pump clean and dirty water.
Submersible electric pumps FWS-FWC and FGR series are particularly designed to pump clean water,
dirty water and sewage. Submersible electric pumps FGR series, with cutter, are suitable to cut solids in
the liquid to pump, avoid the clogging in small diameter pipes. The free passage of the impeller, or of the
strainer, establish the maximum size of the solids in suspension that can be conveyed by the pump. The
asynchronous electric motor with squirrel cage rotor and class F of insulation (Tmax 155°C or 310°F),is
submersible with protection degree IP68 in compliance with IEC 529 specifications. The FLV series is
equipped with a permanent magnet motor (12V; 24V direct current DC). The nuts and bolts and shaft are
in stainless steel. When the product is installed according to the instructions given in this manual and in
compliance with the diagrams, the acoustic pressure level issued by the machine within the given field of
operation will never exceed 70dB(A).
3.2
Unadvisable uses: ATTENTION
The submersible electric pumps are not suitable for:
- dry operation;
- operation where air is intaken owing to an excessively low liquid level in relation to the suction parts;
- liquids with a temperature exceeding 40°C (104°F);
- an immersion depth exceeding 20 m;
- pumped liquids with a pH value of other than 6-10 (5-8 for series FDR-FDP);
- pumping inflammable liquids;
- operation in places with a classified risk of explosion.
- continuous operation with the electric motor uncovered;
- operation in a closed place for longer than 3 minutes since this could cause the electric motor to overheat.
Also check that the product conforms to any pertinent local laws.
4. STORAGE AND HANDLING
Store the pump in a dry and dust-free place.
Avoid instability which could be caused by wrongly positioning the product.
Turn the rotating parts at regular intervals to prevent them from jamming.
ATTENTION
For safe storage after a previous installation, the electric pump must be tho-
roughly
cleaned (never use hydrocarbon based products for this purpose).
The electric pump must be handled with care. Use suitable lifting means in compliance
with the safety provisions in merit, gripping it by the relative lifting points (handles,
eyebolts). Consult the "Dimensions and weights" chapter in order to identify the
weight of the product.
Never lift the pump by the cable.
Never subject the cables to sharp bends (the minimum radius of the bend must be
