Emergency Situations (for the user)
PROBLEM
The drum speed is not
enough
The drum doesn't come off
enough from the floor
The abrasive doesn't sand
enough or its speed is not
enough or it doesn't keep
the right place
The floor surface is not
regularly sanded
Scorching on work surface
Insufficient dust collection
The paper dust bag breaks
down while working or while
putting it on the machine
CAUSES
Excessive cable length or unsuitable cross section
Unstable connections
Driving belt too tightened
Worn-out bearings
Faulty capacitor
Faulty motor
Wheels joint, between the two parts of the drum lifting rod,
not properly adjusted
Unsuitable or worn-out abrasive
Insufficient drum pressure
Dust prevents adjusting the drum pressure
Driving belt at a wrong tension
Worn-out driving belt or pulleys or bearings
Worn-out drum
Faulty abrasive
Incorrect wheel adjustment
Bearings, pulleys or shafts dirty or faulty
Driving belt and wheels dirty, badly adjusted or faulty
Drum surface dirty or faulty
Drum surface out of roundness
Worn-out or unsuitable abrasive
Excessive pressure on drum
Dust bag more than 1/3 full
Dust bag dirty or with blocked pores
Vacuum ducts and/or pipes obstructed
Suction bearings and shaft in bad conditions
Paper bag put in the wrong direction
Mistake while putting the bag on the machine

SOLUTIONS
Use cables of suitable length and cross section
Contact an authorized Bona dealer
Set it at a right tension value
Contact an authorized Bona dealer
Replace it
Contact an authorized Bona dealer
Adjust it at the right position
Replace the abrasive
Increase drum pressure
Remove the dust
Set it at a right tension value
Replace the belt or contact an authorized Bona
dealer, for pulleys and bearings replacement
Replace it
Replace the abrasive
Correct the wheel position
Clean them or contact an authorized Bona dealer,
for replacement
Clean, adjust or replace them
Clean, correct or replace the rubber-coated drum
Replace the rubber-coated drum and remember
never to let the drum laying on the floor while the
machine is not working in order to avoid ovality
Replace the abrasive
Decrease sanding pressure
Empty the cloth bag or change the paper bag
Shake out the dirt and wash the cloth bag or ch-
ange the paper bag
Clean air ducts
Contact an authorized Bona dealer
Change the bag direction: the side with the full
sign must be towards the abrasive drum
While putting the bag on the machine, stop before
the black ring: this must stay outside the paper
bag.
