Safe and correct use

This instruction manual should be read carefully before using the
Bona Scorpion wood flooring sander for the first time.
The instruction manual contains important information on safety
and preventing improper use of the machine and will resolve any
doubts or questions, making possible to operate the machine
safely and with ease. Removing safety features could cause
death or physical injury. Familiarize yourself with the machine
before using it for the first time.

Machine data plate

The following information can be found on the machine data plate:
1) Machine model
2) Safety symbols
3) Motor power
4) Frequency
5) Supply voltage
6) Country of manufacture
7) Year of manufacture (see 9 on next page)
8) Name of the manufacturer
The Bona Scorpion wood flooring sander is suitable for the dry
sanding of wood floors. Any other use without the consent of
the manufacturer is prohibited. DO NOT use on wet floors.
See 'Machine Warnings' on page 15.
Keep hands and clothing away from moving mechanical parts.
The work area is protected via the base frame and the mobile
cover on the abrasive drum.
9) Serial number:
• The first two numbers refer to the year of manufacture (14 = 2014)
• The second group of three numbers indicates the day of the year the machine
was manufactured (127 = May 7th)
• The last two numbers indicate the progressive number of machines produced
that day of manufacture
(13 = 13th machine produced that day)
